What is the Genuine Contact Program?
Do you convene people for staff
meetings, community gatherings, planning sessions, conferences or
committees? We invite you to learn simple processes for bringing
innovative thinking, high productivity, rich communication and
collaboration into your work together - even if your group is rich with
divergent opinions on issues, challenges, opportunities and potential
solutions.
The Genuine Contact™ program is a
program for building skill and capacity within the organization, for
working with change. Business renewal involves changing or renewing the
fundamentals of the organization, redefining its purpose, focusing its
products/services, and reshaping its delivery structure. The Genuine
Contact™ program takes the organization on a journey of discovery and is
the vehicle through which the organization becomes an interconnected
learning organization, an Open Space Organization.
The two Organizational Health and
Balance workshops provide foundation knowledge and skills to help you
prepare the environment of your organization to obtain maximum benefit
from the Genuine Contact™ Program. There are five components to the
Genuine Contact™ TM Program Session 1 - Working With Open Space
Technology is a pre-requisite to Session 4 - Advanced Work with Open
Space Technology. The first four workshops must be completed to be
eligible for Session 5 - Train the Trainer.
Each highly experiential workshop is
a stand-alone training program. Taken as a complete series, participants
learn to develop and use an operating system in which business is
conducted with genuine contact at all levels on an ongoing basis. You
will be prepared to teach others and have access to ongoing support,
profession development and mentorship through an international network
of consultants.
Workshops can be arranged anywhere in
the world by us or through our international network of associates for
groups of up to 40. Another and highly recommended option is to arrange
to have a private workshop for your whole management team, staff,

Foundational Workshops: Organizational Health and
Balance
On his deathbed, Louis Pasteur said;
"I had it all wrong ...go after the interior terrain!" He was advising
that we should not go after the pathogen, but instead focus on the
environment or terrain. His advice applies aptly to organizations.
You are invited to workshops in which
you will learn to deal with the terrain of your organization, learn to
restore it so that your organization can thrive in these rapidly
changing times and learn to attend to "the operating system". The
workshops will assist you to explore the state of health of your
organization from a holistic organizational growth perspective and to
develop your own vision and action plan to achieve and maintain a
healthy organization.
Part 1: Path to Organizational Health and
Balance (4 Hours)
This workshop will introduce you to
the importance of attending to the terrain of your organization and the
importance of relationships based on genuine contact. You will leave
equipped with key questions to help you assess your own organization and
with knowledge of how you can increase the capacity of your organization
to achieve and maintain health, effectiveness and profitability in
rapidly changing times. This session is valuable by itself and is
a pre-requisite to the two-day workshop below.
Part 2: Achieving Organizational Health And
Balance: Diagnosis and Regeneration
(2 Days)
This workshop will assist you to
explore the state of health of your organization from a holistic
organizational growth perspective and to develop your own prescription
for achieving and maintaining a healthy organization. You will
learn simple and holistic tools and frameworks that can be applied to
both diagnosis and regeneration of your organization.

Working with Open Space Technology (4 days)
We invite you to earn how to
facilitate Open Space Technology meeting and the skills to work
effectively with sponsors before and after the meeting. "Open Space
Technology" is the name given to a meeting without a predetermined
agenda. Developed in the late eighties by Harrison Owen of
Maryland, U.S.A., this meeting methodology is now used around the world
as an effective process for facilitating change in both organizational
and community settings.
Open Space Technology meetings are
simple to organize; require very little lead time; effective for any
sized group from 5-1000; and effective for established groups such as
corporations, private sector and public sector organizations or ad hoc
groups meeting for a common purpose.
Open Space Technology meetings build
energy and participation in ways that few other processes do. They are
best used when:

We invite you to learn how to lead

outcomes must be achieved. When we use Whole Person Process Facilitation
as a means of conducting meetings, we tap into the knowledge of the
group that is of the conscious mind as well as the knowledge that is
beyond the knowledge of the conscious mind and bring this to the

Session 3 - Cross Cultural Conflict

We invite you to learn simple and
highly effective methods for working with people in situations of
conflict. This training session focuses on the facilitator's personal
preparation for working with situations of conflict, providing skills
and a framework for conflict resolution in groups based on universal
cross-cultural and organizational cultural practices for conflict
resolution.

Session 4 - Advanced Work with Opens Space
Technology Focusing on the Open Space Organization (4 days)
We invite you to a workshop to learn
how to develop an "operating system" for your organization that sustains
and regenerates growth and exceptional performance. Teams will emerge,
communication will improve, and staff morale and staff health will
improve. All of this will positively affect your bottom line and your
overall efficiency. You cannot effectively use your computer without a
good "operating system". The same is true for your organization.
Developing the "operating system" for
your organization begins with working with Open Space Technology.

Session 5 - Train the Trainer in Genuine Contact™
(4 days)
We invite you to our "train the
trainer" workshop to become authorized to teach all of the components of
Genuine Contact™ program. Join a growing number of colleagues

enabling organizations to be healthy and balanced. The Genuine Contact™
